![Studio and everyday yoga knits from official fitness storefronts](/blog/covers/aloyoga-vs-beyond-yoga.webp)

Alo Yoga vs Beyond Yoga is a fabric decision before it is a logo decision. [Alo Yoga](/s/aloyoga) splits the closet in two: Airlift is the high-compression studio fabric, and Accolade is the French-terry lounge layer. The 7/8 High-Waist Airlift Legging on [aloyoga.com](https://www.aloyoga.com) is 82% polyester and 18% elastane, true to size, snug, $134, with a 24.25-inch inseam in XXS through S. [Beyond Yoga](/s/beyond-yoga) builds the soft piece in Spacedye, 87% polyester and 13% elastane; the Spacedye Caught In The Midi High Waisted Legging on [beyondyoga.com](https://beyondyoga.com) is $99, with a 5-inch waistband and a 28-inch inseam. Choose Alo when you want compression for the workout and a separate oversized terry set for after. Choose Beyond Yoga when you want one buttery legging that the brand also sells for errands, with a plus size run on the styles that carry it. StoreAtlas files both as stores on the [fitness hub](/c/fitness) and the [yoga](/t/yoga) tag. This note is not a Best of ranking.

[Fitness storefront notes](/blog/fitness-shopify-storefront-notes), [Alo Yoga vs Gymshark](/blog/alo-yoga-vs-gymshark), and [Girlfriend Collective vs Beyond Yoga](/blog/girlfriend-collective-vs-beyond-yoga) are the neighboring activewear comparisons. [Size charts before you buy](/blog/size-charts-dtc-before-you-buy) is the page to keep open, because both brands tell you to size down or size up depending on the style name.

There is no shopping-job page for this pair yet — other shopping tasks already filed live on the [jobs index](/jobs). Both brands also live as files in the [store directory](/).

## Who each storefront fits

Alo fits the buyer who dresses for the studio and then changes into a louder lounge uniform. Airlift, on the 7/8 High-Waist Legging, is “high-compression signature Airlift performance fabric,” 82% polyester and 18% elastane. The fit line says true to size, snug, with a wide double-layered waistband. Inseams on that 7/8 style: XXS, XS, and S at 24.25 inches; M and L at 24.75 inches. The page lists $134. The Airlift High-Waist Trifecta Legging is the statement version at $138, with a criss-cross waistband and the same high-compression, slightly shiny fabric story. Airlift bras on the same collection list from about $78 for an Intrigue or Advantage bra up to $98 for a Line Up bra. The fabric is built to hold. It is not the fabric people buy for a soft hand.

Accolade is the other Alo. The short is French terry, 65% cotton and 35% polyester, $78, relaxed, with a note to size down for a closer fit. Letters on that page map to XXS (00–0) through L (12–14). The Straight Leg Sweatpant is $138, unisex, oversized, through 2XL (20–22), and the page says to size down once or twice for a closer fit. Inseams run about 30½ to 31½ inches. The hoodie and full zip are $148, boxy, and say to size down once for a closer fit. The Accolade guide’s three wears are size down, true to size, or size up.

Beyond Yoga fits the buyer who wants one soft legging as the main garment. Spacedye is 87% polyester and 13% elastane, four-way stretch, moisture-wicking, and machine washable, with UPF called out on dresses and hoodies. The Caught In The Midi legging is $99: no outside seam, a 5-inch natural waistband, gentle compression, 28-inch inseam. The mid-rise keeps the 28-inch inseam with a 4-inch waistband, also $99. The plus Got Your Back Bra is sized 1X–4X and measures 13 inches long on a 1X. A court mini at $118 uses the same fabric with built-in shorts. Final-sale dresses on the site are marked down and sit outside the return policy.

Airlift’s page says high compression. Spacedye’s midi page says gentle compression and leads with softness. Accolade is the hoodie and sweatpant, in a different fabric.

## Size charts and the words “size down”

Alo’s letters map to a U.S. numeric range on the Accolade pages, and the ranges overlap: XS is 2–4 and S is 4–6, so a size 4 is on the line between two letters. Airlift says true to size and snug. Accolade sweatpants say size down once or twice. Wearing your Airlift size in an Accolade hoodie is how the hoodie becomes a blanket, which some of the fit copy treats as the design and some shoppers treat as a mistake. The [size-chart guide](/blog/size-charts-dtc-before-you-buy) is the routine: read the style’s fit sentence, then the inseam, then the model’s height. A 5'10" model in an XS on a straight-leg pant is not a 5'2" inseam.

Beyond Yoga’s midi legging page says the fit is built across inclusive sizes and wear-tested on real bodies. The plus bra is explicitly 1X–4X. Not every Spacedye style uses that plus run. The size selector on the PDP is the range for that style. A core legging and a plus bra can share a fabric and not share a size list. Final-sale styles are often the ones with a slashed price. They are also the ones the return policy refuses. If you are between sizes, buy the full-price style so the 30 days still exist.

Inseams decide the crop. Alo’s 7/8 Airlift at about 24¼ to 24¾ inches is a cropped legging. Beyond Yoga’s 28-inch midi is longer, landing between calf and ankle on the product description. A petite wearer in the Alo 7/8 may see a full-length look. A tall wearer in the Beyond midi may see a crop. The number is on the page. The model photo is not the number.

Accolade and Spacedye both say cold wash and low dry. A washed return fails both policies.

## Shipping and the 30-day rule

Alo’s refund policy accepts eligible merchandise for exchange, store credit, or refund within 30 days of purchase. The item needs original tags, an unused and sellable condition, and proof of purchase. Returns are free. Bags have to come back with the original packaging, dust bag, crystal, and authentication card. Sunglasses need the original case. Some items are marked exchange only: a different size of the same item if it is in stock, not a refund or store credit. Items marked final sale are not eligible for a refund, an exchange, or store credit. U.S. product pages banner complimentary shipping and returns. That banner does not override a final-sale tag or an exchange-only tag on the variant.

Beyond Yoga’s return policy is also 30 days from purchase, with a receipt. Items come back unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and with original tags. If the care tag or label is gone, the garment is not refunded or exchanged. Domestic returns get a prepaid label. Refunds go to the original payment. Gift returns become a gift card. Price adjustments on full-price items are mentioned inside 14 days of purchase on that policy. Final-sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. If you put a final-sale piece in the return package anyway, the policy says it will not be refunded and will be discarded. QR codes for the label path expire 24 hours after the return is processed. Customer care is customercare@beyondyoga.com, including a sizing question before you buy. Product pages banner fast, free shipping and returns, and the final-sale dress pages still show that banner next to a Final Sale label. The policy wins.

Thirty days at both brands is a try-on window, not a wear-to-class window. Alo wants tags and a sellable garment. Beyond Yoga wants the care label still attached. A legging you sweated in is outside both documents. The exchange-only and final-sale flags are how a “free returns” banner becomes a store credit you cannot get.

[Alo Yoga vs Gymshark](/blog/alo-yoga-vs-gymshark) is the compression-brand comparison if Airlift is the piece you are keeping and you want a second opinion on studio gear. [Girlfriend Collective vs Beyond Yoga](/blog/girlfriend-collective-vs-beyond-yoga) is the soft-legging comparison if Spacedye is the piece you are keeping. [Fitness notes](/blog/fitness-shopify-storefront-notes) cover the rest of the activewear catalog these two sit in.

## Questions
### Alo Airlift vs Beyond Yoga Spacedye

Airlift, on the 7/8 High-Waist Legging, is 82% polyester and 18% elastane, high compression, true to size, about a 24-inch inseam, $134. Spacedye, on the Caught In The Midi legging, is 87% polyester and 13% elastane, a 5-inch natural waistband, a 28-inch inseam, gentle compression, $99. Airlift is the studio layer. Spacedye is the soft all-day layer. Accolade is neither: it is 65% cotton and 35% polyester French terry, cut oversized, and priced as a hoodie and sweatpant set.

### Should you size down?

On Alo Accolade, yes if you want it closer. The sweatpant page says once or twice. The hoodie page says once. The short says size down for a closer fit and gives a relaxed fit as the default. On Alo Airlift, the 7/8 page says true to size and snug, which is the opposite instruction. On Beyond Yoga, use the size selector and the wear-test note, and size up only where that PDP says so. A plus cut such as the Got Your Back Bra is 1X–4X on its own page. [Size charts before you buy](/blog/size-charts-dtc-before-you-buy) is the worksheet for the overlap between XS and S on Alo’s numeric chart.

### What cannot be returned?

Alo: final-sale items, and exchange-only items if you wanted money back instead of another size. Bags without the dust bag and card, and sunglasses without the case, fail the condition rules. Beyond Yoga: final-sale items, which the policy says are discarded if you send them anyway, plus anything untagged, washed, or missing the care label. Both windows are 30 days. A complimentary-returns banner does not cover a red final-sale label on the same screen.
