![Bamboo-derived sheets from official home storefronts](/blog/covers/ettitude-vs-cozy-earth.webp)

Ettitude vs Cozy Earth is a fiber-process decision that marketing calls “bamboo” on both sides. [Ettitude](/s/ettitude) sells CleanBamboo, a bamboo lyocell it describes as a closed-loop fabric, and points the Signature sateen set at hot sleepers on [ettitude.com](https://www.ettitude.com). [Cozy Earth](/s/cozy-earth) sells plush sheets made from viscose from bamboo, plus a jersey knit and a washed cotton, with a long sleep trial and a 10-year replacement warranty on [cozyearth.com](https://cozyearth.com). If you want the lyocell process and a cooling claim tied to that process, start with Ettitude. If you want the plusher viscose hand and a 100-night trial, start with Cozy Earth. Do not treat the word bamboo as the comparison. StoreAtlas files both as stores on the [home hub](/c/home) and the [bedding](/t/bedding) tag. This note is not a Best of bamboo-sheets list.

Cotton organic pairs such as [Brooklinen vs Parachute](/blog/brooklinen-vs-parachute) are a different fiber. The shared method is in [home storefront notes](/blog/home-shopify-storefront-notes) and [how to evaluate a store](/blog/how-to-evaluate-a-shopify-store): what the fiber is called in the details block, how long you may sleep on it, and what the warranty refuses to cover. Both rooms sit on the [bedding you can compare](/jobs/bedding-you-can-compare) job page with other named sets already in the directory. Those are other files, not a ranking. The same files also live in the [store directory](/) and on the [jobs index](/jobs).

## Who each storefront fits

Ettitude fits the shopper who has already learned that most “bamboo sheets” are viscose or rayon and wants the page that argues it is not that. The brand’s journal and product copy describe CleanBamboo as proprietary bamboo lyocell from organic bamboo, made in a closed-loop process, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I, and positioned against bamboo viscose, cotton, and Tencel on breathability and moisture. The Signature set is sateen, includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcases, and prints a 60-night sleep trial on the product page. Pocket depths on the size chart run about 16 inches on smaller sizes and 17 inches on queen and king. There is a more expensive Luxe line that adds bamboo biochar and antimicrobial language. You can shop the signature cooling set without stepping up to that.

Cozy Earth fits the shopper who wants a soft, fluid, sateen-like drape and a safety net measured in months. The bamboo flat-sheet page says 100% premium bamboo viscose, breathable sateen weave, temperature-regulating, hypoallergenic. The sheets hub lists three fabrics: bamboo viscose, soft-wash cotton, and bamboo jersey (a knit, listed elsewhere as mostly viscose with a little spandex). The commercial promise printed next to the sheet is a 10-year warranty, a 100-night sleep trial, and free shipping over a stated threshold. Oprah mentions and bundle builders are the merchandising. The materials sentence is still viscose.

Hot sleepers are the overlap. Ettitude says the lyocell is the reason. Cozy Earth says the viscose is temperature-regulating too. You cannot settle that from adjectives. You can settle which process you are buying, how long the trial is, and whether a return after washing is allowed.

## Lyocell and viscose are not synonyms

Both fibers start as plant cellulose. Ettitude’s FAQ says conventional bamboo viscose uses harsher chemistry, and that CleanBamboo lyocell recycles most of the water and solvent. They print OEKO-TEX Class I and contrast that with residue concerns on ordinary viscose. Those are brand claims, and they are what the product page is organized around. A lab line on the site is Ettitude arguing performance, not a ranking to import here.

Cozy Earth labels the sheet “Made with Viscose from Bamboo” and argues its viscose is responsibly sourced and moisture-wicking. Care is machine wash cold, no softener, no bleach. Jersey is a different knit. If you wanted lyocell and bought Cozy Earth because both say bamboo, you bought the wrong process. Sateen shows up on both signature sheets. Weave is not the diff. Fiber process is.

Pocket depth still matters. Ettitude’s chart is in the 16–17 inch range depending on size. Measure the mattress. A cooling sheet that pops off the corner is not a cooling sheet. Cozy Earth’s set pages print their own dimensions. Compare those numbers to the bed, not to each other’s marketing.

## Trials and warranties, which are the real policies

Ettitude’s Signature page says to enjoy a 60-night sleep trial. A sleep-trial collection page repeats that bedding on that list can come back within 60 nights for a refund. That is the window in which you learn whether the lyocell sleeps cooler for you. It is shorter than Cozy Earth’s. It is long enough to wash the sheets more than once. Confirm on the current page whether the trial requires the original packaging, whether shipping is free both ways, and whether sale SKUs are included. Promo codes on the homepage do not rewrite the trial.

Cozy Earth’s FAQ is broader. Bedding purchased from them can be returned or exchanged within 100 days of the original purchase. Non-bedding (apparel and similar) is 30 days. The sheets page calls the bedding offer a 100-night sleep trial with free returns. The warranty is separate and narrower than shoppers assume. Bedding and bath are covered for 10 years against pilling, abnormal rips and tears, and workmanship defects. The warranty page says claims are replacement only, not refunds, and that normal wear and discoloration are out. Last Chance items are excluded from warranty claims. You can be inside the trial (refund) and later outside it (replacement only, if the defect qualifies). Do not call the warranty a decade-long return policy.

[Returns before you buy](/blog/returns-before-you-buy-dtc) is the right checklist: date the clock starts (purchase versus delivery), whether washed sheets still qualify, who pays postage, and what “final sale” does to the trial.

## Shipping thresholds move

Cozy Earth pages have printed free shipping at both $100 and $50. Ettitude’s free-shipping and percent-off lines move too. The cart is the offer. International duties are a second line; [how to evaluate a store](/blog/how-to-evaluate-a-shopify-store) is the check when that line is missing. Ettitude started in Melbourne and sells a US size chart in inches. Cozy Earth is US-facing. Read the ship-to country before you compare night counts. On the two PDPs, match “lyocell” versus “viscose from bamboo,” pocket depth, trial length, and any Last Chance flag that cancels the warranty.

## Questions

### Ettitude vs Cozy Earth sheets

Ettitude Signature sheets are 100% CleanBamboo lyocell sateen, sold with a 60-night trial and a hot-sleeper headline, OEKO-TEX Class I on the product page. Cozy Earth bamboo sheets are 100% viscose from bamboo in a sateen weave, sold with a 100-night bedding trial and a 10-year replacement warranty against pilling and abnormal damage. The Ettitude set is the process-led buy. The Cozy Earth set is the plush viscose buy with the longer cash-refund window. Jersey and soft-wash cotton on Cozy Earth are extra options Ettitude’s signature set does not try to be. Luxe biochar on Ettitude is an extra option Cozy Earth’s core viscose set does not try to be.

### Is Ettitude better than Cozy Earth for hot sleepers?

Ettitude is the page that ties cooling to lyocell rather than viscose. That is where to start if you refuse viscose chemistry. It is not proof you will sleep cooler than on Cozy Earth’s viscose, which also claims temperature regulation and gives you 100 nights against Ettitude’s 60. A topper and the room will change the result more than the logo.

### Is Cozy Earth an alternative to Ettitude bamboo?

Cozy Earth is the alternative when you want plush viscose, a 100-night trial, and a long replacement warranty. It is not the alternative if you chose Ettitude for lyocell or the closed-loop claim. If you wanted cotton instead, read [Brooklinen vs Parachute](/blog/brooklinen-vs-parachute). Screenshot the fiber line and the trial clock before the banner changes.
