![Prebiotic soda cans from official food and drink storefronts](/blog/covers/olipop-vs-poppi.webp)

OLIPOP vs Poppi is a fiber-and-sugar decision on two soda storefronts that both sell by the can and the case. [OLIPOP](/s/olipop) prints 6 or 9 grams of dietary fiber in a 12-fluid-ounce can, with Vintage Cola on the 9 gram line at [drinkolipop.com](https://drinkolipop.com) listing 50 calories, 5 grams of total sugar, and 2 grams of added sugar. [Poppi](/s/poppi) prints a lower fiber number and a tight sugar cap; the Watermelon can on [drinkpoppi.com](https://drinkpoppi.com) lists 30 calories, 3 grams of dietary fiber, and 5 grams of total sugar, with 3 grams added. Choose OLIPOP when the point of the can is a larger prebiotic fiber dose and you can live with the storage rule for the 9 gram line. Choose Poppi when you want apple cider vinegar in the ingredient list, about 5 grams of sugar or less, and a lighter calorie line. StoreAtlas files both as stores on the [food and drink hub](/c/food-drink) and the [beverages](/t/beverages) tag. This note is not a Best of ranking.

A case is heavy, and fiber tolerance is personal. ## Poppi vs OLIPOP · What each can actually contains

OLIPOP fits the shopper who is buying fiber first and cola flavor second. The brand’s own digest copy says a 12-fluid-ounce can carries 6 to 9 grams of dietary fiber and 2 to 5 grams of sugar, sweetened with juice concentrates, cassava root syrup, and stevia leaf. Vintage Cola exists on three builds, and the numbers change:

- The 9 gram fiber line, per the Vintage Cola product page: one 355 mL can, 50 calories, 30 mg sodium, 17 grams of carbohydrate, 9 grams of dietary fiber, 5 grams of total sugars, 2 grams of added sugars, 50 mg of green tea caffeine. The OLISMART blend on that label is cassava root fiber, chicory root inulin, Jerusalem artichoke inulin, plus nopal cactus, marshmallow root, calendula flower, and kudzu root extracts. The page says this line should live in the fridge.
- The 6 gram fiber line, same flavor: 40 calories, 14 grams of carbohydrate, 6 grams of fiber, 4 grams of total sugars, 2 grams added. OLISMART here is cassava root fiber, acacia fiber, and guar fiber, with the same four botanicals. The page says this line is shelf-stable in a cool, dry place and should be chilled before you drink it.
- Minis, from OLIPOP’s flavor note: 7.5 fluid ounces, 3 grams of fiber, and 3 grams of total sugar.

A 12-pack is the default shop format, with single cans and variety packs beside it. The 9 gram Vintage Cola page also offers delivery every 2, 4, or 8 weeks. That is a lot of fiber if you drink more than one can a day. The label is the serving. It is not a suggestion to finish the 12-pack because the fiber number looks useful.

Poppi fits the shopper who wants a soda-like can with apple cider vinegar and a smaller fiber figure. The brand’s “why Poppi” page says each can has prebiotics from cassava root fiber and agave inulin, and it states a ceiling of 5 grams of sugar or less and 35 calories or less. Watermelon lists one can at 30 calories, 9 grams of carbohydrate, 3 grams of fiber, and 5 grams of total sugar, 3 grams of it added, with sparkling water, organic cane sugar, cassava root fiber, apple juice concentrate, organic apple cider vinegar, agave inulin, and stevia, at 3% juice. Raspberry Rose is also 30 calories and 5 grams of sugar, with 4 grams added. Added sugar moves by flavor. Read the can in the cart.

Poppi says the drinks are Non-GMO Project Verified and OU Kosher, and vegan without a vegan certification. OLIPOP’s Vintage Cola labels show juice percentage and caffeine where the flavor uses green tea caffeine. A “cola” from OLIPOP can contain 50 mg of caffeine. A fruit Poppi flavor may not. If caffeine is the reason you wanted a cola, the OLIPOP Vintage Cola line states it. If you wanted a vinegar tang and a lower calorie count, the Poppi Watermelon line states 30.

OLIPOP’s 9 gram blend uses chicory and Jerusalem artichoke inulin plus cassava. The 6 gram blend uses acacia and guar. Poppi’s published sources are cassava root fiber and agave inulin. A 9 gram can is three times the fiber on the Watermelon Poppi label. Start with one can. The nutrition panel is the claim.

## How the storefronts sell a case

OLIPOP sells 9 gram, 6 gram, and mini lines, including a 12-pack on a one-time or repeating cadence. A 9 gram case belongs in the refrigerator. A 6 gram case can sit in a pantry until you chill a can. That storage split is an apartment constraint, not a flavor preference.

OLIPOP prints $3.99 flat-rate shipping, free at $50 and up. The subscription block says 15% off recurring orders, free shipping in the contiguous United States, and the option to swap, skip, or cancel. Skip the next shipment if the first case is enough.

Poppi’s FAQ says the brand ships in the United States and does not offer international shipping. Excluded addresses include territories, P.O. boxes, and APO/FPO. Standard transit is listed at 4–5 business days in the contiguous U.S., with two-day and one-day options. [Verify the store ships to your country](/blog/verify-store-ships-to-your-country) before you assume a U.S. checkout will also ship abroad. OLIPOP’s subscription free-shipping line is written for the contiguous United States.

## Returns on a drink you already chilled

OLIPOP’s refund policy says the company does not accept returns or exchanges of product. If the order arrived damaged or the wrong order showed up, you contact customer service, and the policy names hello@drinkolipop.com. That is the path for a crushed case, not for “this flavor was too sweet.” The Vintage Cola 9 gram product page also prints a “45 Day Money-Back Guarantee” near the cart. Those two sentences sit on the same brand site and do not read as the same rule. Before you subscribe, ask which document applies to a half-finished 12-pack: the refund policy that declines product returns, or the guarantee line on the product page. Get the answer in writing from the address on the policy. A banner under the add-to-cart button is not a substitute for the refund policy if they disagree.

Poppi’s published FAQ, on the page that explains fiber, shipping, and certifications, does not state a day-count return window for unopened cases. Beverage orders are a poor candidate for a wardrobe-style return even when a window exists, because a warm case and a chilled case are not the same goods. Use the contact path on drinkpoppi.com before you buy a large variety pack as a test. [Returns before you buy](/blog/returns-before-you-buy-dtc) is written for apparel and hard goods, and the useful part here is the habit: read the policy that matches the checkout, and do not assume a satisfaction window that the FAQ never printed.

Compare per can after shipping. OLIPOP’s $3.99 flat rate on a small order changes the math, and free shipping over $50 pushes the cart toward a case. Poppi’s variety packs do the same. The nutrition panel is the stable number. Promotional prices move.

If the occasion is an alcohol-free evening drink rather than a soda, [Ghia vs Recess: botanical non-alcoholic apéritifs vs adaptogen craft mocktails](/blog/ghia-vs-recess) compares two non-alcoholic drink storefronts.

## Questions
### How much fiber and sugar is in a can of each?

OLIPOP Vintage Cola on the 9 gram line: 9 grams of fiber, 5 grams of total sugar, 2 grams added, 50 calories, in 355 mL. The 6 gram line of the same flavor: 6 grams of fiber, 4 grams of sugar, 40 calories. Poppi Watermelon: 3 grams of fiber, 5 grams of total sugar, 3 grams added, 30 calories, per can. OLIPOP’s brand range is 2–5 grams of sugar and 6–9 grams of fiber on the 12-ounce cans. Poppi’s brand ceiling is 5 grams of sugar or less and 35 calories or less, with fiber shown flavor by flavor at 3 grams on the cans cited here.

### Do you have to refrigerate them?

OLIPOP says the 9 gram fiber line should be stored in the fridge, and the 6 gram line is shelf-stable until you chill it to drink. Poppi’s ingredient story does not replace the storage line on the pack you bought. A delivered case that sits in a warm room is a quality question for customer service, which is also why unopened-versus-opened matters if you ever ask for help.

### Can you send a case back?

OLIPOP’s refund policy says product returns and exchanges are not accepted, with a contact path for damage or the wrong order. The 9 gram product page also shows a 45-day money-back line, so confirm which rule covers your order before you rely on it. Poppi’s shipping FAQ is clear about U.S.-only delivery and excluded addresses, and it does not publish a simple day-count return in that same FAQ. [Shipping and returns on storefronts](/blog/reading-shipping-and-returns-on-shopify-stores) is the habit to reuse on the checkout page, where the address exceptions and the subscription cadence are the lines that cost money.
