![Training shorts and performance polos from official fitness storefronts](/blog/covers/ten-thousand-vs-rhone.webp)

Ten Thousand vs Rhone splits a training-short closet from a commuter-polo closet. [Ten Thousand](/s/ten-thousand) organizes [tenthousand.cc](https://www.tenthousand.cc) around shorts for lifting, intervals, and runs. The Interval Short is the template: 5-inch, 7-inch, and 9-inch inseams, lined or unlined. [Rhone](/s/rhone) organizes [rhone.com](https://www.rhone.com) around performance cloth that can leave the gym. The Commuter Polo is slim-fit Flex-Knit with a hidden-button collar. The Pursuit Short is the training piece inside that system. Choose Ten Thousand when the purchase is a short that has to stay put through a session. Choose Rhone when the same order needs a polo or commuter shirt and a short that can go to the next plan without a full change. StoreAtlas files both as stores on the [fitness hub](/c/fitness) and the [training](/t/training) tag. This note is not a Best of ranking.

There is no shopping-job page for this pair yet — other shopping tasks already filed live on the [jobs index](/jobs). Both brands also live as files in the [store directory](/).

[Rhone vs Vuori](/blog/rhone-vs-vuori) is the closer read when the other tab is already a commuter-athletic label. This note stays on Ten Thousand’s training shelf against Rhone’s polo-and-short shelf. Use [fitness storefront notes](/blog/fitness-shopify-storefront-notes), [Alo Yoga vs Gymshark](/blog/alo-yoga-vs-gymshark) for a different training catalog, and [size charts before you buy](/blog/size-charts-dtc-before-you-buy) before a letter size crosses either site.

## Who each storefront fits

Ten Thousand fits a week built from sessions. The compare-shorts page splits the line by job. Session is daily runs, conditioning, and mobility work: relaxed lightweight feel, 7-inch and 5-inch, lined or unlined. Interval is training, HIIT, and lifting: athletic secure fit, 4-way stretch, no-bounce pockets, 5-inch, 7-inch, and 9-inch, lined or unlined. Tactical is tactical training, lifting, and rucking: structured, abrasion-resistant, utility pockets, 7-inch and 9-inch, unlined. Utility is outdoor training, travel, and everyday: water-repellent, secure storage, 7-inch, unlined. Shirts follow the split. Interval Shirt lists Odorblock, flatlock seams, 20,000-plus abrasions, 100-plus PSI, and 3M Easy Care. Session Shirt is the lighter run top, tested to 10,000-plus abrasions. Tactical Shirt adds a reinforced yoke and UPF 45-plus. Interval Short sizes run XS through XXL.

Rhone fits a day that crosses a meeting and a workout. The men’s Commuter compare lists Classic, Slim, and Athletic shirts at a printed $138, and the Pro Cotton Shirt at $168. Shared features: moisture wicking, GOLDFUSION Anti-Odor Technology, wrinkle release, hidden-button collar. The fabric guide calls Flex-Knit Italian-crafted stretch yarn, built to move in a meeting without bagging out. Flex-Knit Pro is the more substantial version. Pursuit is the training cloth for a gym-to-plans day. The Pursuit Short page calls it the evolution of the Mako Short: lighter all-way stretch, a flexible waistband, in-or-out ties. Women’s Revive 6-inch is high-rise, midweight, GOLDFUSION, UPF 50-plus. A polo plus a short is a Rhone cart. Three inseams of one training short is a Ten Thousand cart.

## Cloth, inseam, and liner

Read the Interval Short PDP. Copy describes a four-way stretch shell, a no-pinch waistband with an internal drawcord, laser-cut ventilation, and Every Session Carry pockets: open hip pockets, a hidden zip, a waistband key pocket, and a phone pocket on the optional liner. The liner is for support and breathability and is described as built not to ride. Lined and unlined are separate variants. Product data lists unlined at $88 and lined at $98. Recheck the color. Limited editions move, and some are final sale. The compare page does not print GSM or a fiber percentage for every short. Use the fabric line on the variant. Do not give the Interval’s pocket map to the Utility Short, or the Tactical Short’s abrasion brief to the Session Short.

Rhone prints fiber on the product, and the percentages differ by family. Commuter Polo care is Flex-Knit, 87% recycled polyamide and 13% elastane: wash cold, tumble dry low, line dry for best results, no bleach, dry clean, iron, or fabric softener. The fit line says slim. Schema on that page listed Black Oxford at $118. Delta Pique Polo is the other polo: lightweight pique mesh, raglan sleeves, PU side vents, flatlock seams, GOLDFUSION, hidden-button collar. Care says wash cold and line dry, and tells you not to tumble dry. Schema across that group showed $44 to $88, and sale tiles have been marked final sale. A final-sale color does not inherit the 45-day return. Commuter Flyweight Short, 7-inch, is classic fit. From size 32: rise 11 inches, inseam 7 inches, leg opening 22.25 inches. Fabric is 50% polyester and 50% recycled polyester. Wash cold, lay flat, no tumble dry. Pursuit Short care on the unlined page is 71% polyamide and 29% elastane, lightweight all-way stretch, wash cold on gentle, tumble dry low. Lined and unlined swatches are on the page. The collection filter includes inseams 5, 7, and 9. One URL in that family has carried a 7-inch title and a 5-inch name in structured data. Read the inseam on the variant.

A 5-inch lined Interval is a secure training short with a phone pocket on the liner. A Pursuit short in polyamide-elastane is the lighter all-way-stretch short next to a polo that is 87% recycled polyamide. They can share a gym bag. The polo is why many people open Rhone. The 9-inch Interval and the unlined Tactical short are why many people open Ten Thousand.

## Returns, shipping, and the one-year claim

Ten Thousand’s shipping page is specific about the continental United States. Under $150, shipping is $10. Above $150, that page pairs free shipping with free returns. Processing is typically 2–3 business days, then an aim of 2–7 business days in transit. The returns block offers a complimentary 30-day policy for orders placed within the US: unworn, unwashed, tags on, original packaging. The portal takes order number plus email or ZIP and issues a USPS label. Shipping fees and shipping-protection fees are non-refundable. You have 14 days after you start the return to mail it. The page calls that window strict. Final sale is out, including limited editions such as Nothing Changes and Better Than Yesterday. A returns FAQ says labels are currently issued for the United States and Canada, and it states free returns for US customers. Outside those two, do not assume a label.

The quality guarantee is a different clock. If an item does not perform as intended within one year, Ten Thousand will replace it when it was bought on tenthousand.cc, not from a third party, and you have the order number and email. Claims are case by case. The FAQ says they do not repair. Out of coverage: final sale or discounted goods, normal wear, preference or size changes, misuse or bad care, alterations, cosmetic defects, discontinued items, multiple claims on one item, and gift-with-purchase. If the item is gone, the stated remedy is store credit for what you paid. A short that no longer matches your training is a 30-day unworn return. A short that fails in use inside a year is a quality claim, and only for site purchases.

Rhone’s returns page offers free US returns and exchanges within 45 days: unworn, not final sale, tags on. Shoes, undergarments, and accessories need original unopened packaging. Original shipping is non-refundable. Retail stores take returns. Outlet is a separate 15-day clock, back to outlet stores only. Outlet does not take rhone.com or retail returns, and retail does not take outlet returns. International orders get no Rhone label and no exchange. You pay return shipping, taxes, and duties, with no refund of those charges. Purchases from November 1 through December 24 can be returned within 60 days. Product banners currently say free U.S. shipping on $125 and up. The Commuter Polo page repeats free shipping over $125 in the continental U.S. and free returns within 45 days. A polo already worn to work is outside that policy. Check the final-sale flag on the color before you treat either window as a fitting room.

## Questions

### Interval Short vs Pursuit Short

Interval is Ten Thousand’s training, HIIT, and lifting short: secure fit, 4-way stretch, Every Session Carry pockets, inseams 5, 7, and 9, lined or unlined, XS–XXL, with $98 lined and $88 unlined on the product data. Pursuit is Rhone’s training short in 71% polyamide and 29% elastane, flexible waistband, in-or-out ties, lined or unlined, with 5, 7, and 9 in the collection filter. Interval sits beside Session, Tactical, and Utility. Pursuit sits beside Commuter polos. Start on Interval when the short is the whole order. Start on Pursuit when it has to match a polo.

### Does a Rhone polo replace Ten Thousand training gear?

The Commuter Polo replaces a dress shirt more directly than a training short. It is slim Flex-Knit, 87% recycled polyamide and 13% elastane, with GOLDFUSION and a hidden-button collar. Delta Pique is the mesh polo: raglan sleeves, PU vents, line dry. The Interval Shirt is the training top, built around abrasion notes, Odorblock, and flatlock seams. [Size charts before you buy](/blog/size-charts-dtc-before-you-buy) matters because Rhone splits Classic, Slim, and Athletic on Commuter shirts, and Ten Thousand splits secure versus relaxed across short families.

### Which return window helps if the fit is wrong?

Rhone’s US window is 45 days and free if the item is unworn, with a 60-day holiday extension for November 1 through December 24 purchases, and a 15-day outlet clock that stays in the outlet. Ten Thousand’s US window is 30 days and unworn, with 14 days to mail after you start, and with limited editions excluded. Ten Thousand also publishes a one-year quality replacement for site purchases that fail in use, with no repair service. Rhone’s published page is a fit policy. International shoppers get a Ten Thousand label path for the US and Canada, and no prepaid Rhone label. [Fitness storefront notes](/blog/fitness-shopify-storefront-notes) cover how these catalogs are organized. [Rhone vs Vuori](/blog/rhone-vs-vuori) is the next compare if the polo stays and the other short is still open.
