![Two stacks of basic apparel beside a shipping, returns, and shelf checklist](/blog/covers/uniqlo-vs-muji-black-friday.webp)

Uniqlo vs MUJI before Black Friday is a way to check two basics storefronts on the day you buy, not a ranking and not a redo of past markdowns. [Uniqlo](/s/uniqlo) sells apparel on the Uniqlo US host. [MUJI](/s/muji) sells home goods, apparel, and stationery on [muji.us](https://www.muji.us/). Open Uniqlo when the job is a basic top, bottom, or inner layer from that catalog and you will re-read the live US page yourself, because our 30 October 2026 read of the US English homepage was denied and this note will not invent a banner to fill the gap. Open MUJI when the job is a basic apparel piece, a home piece, or a stationery piece from that catalog and you will re-read a newsletter line, several named shelf markdowns, a shipping-delay sentence, and the returns and shipping doors, then open the live SKU because a category percent is not a price for every item. This note does not name a winner, publish a code, or paste a percent as a fact for every product. On 30 October 2026 the MUJI US homepage in our read did not carry a clear Black Friday headline. The Uniqlo US homepage did not return a merchandising line we could quote. The live tile still prices the piece. A pair note that stays on the brands without this seasonal pass is [Uniqlo vs MUJI](/blog/uniqlo-vs-muji). For policy text before checkout, use [returns before you buy DTC](/blog/returns-before-you-buy-dtc) and the [returns and ship-to guides](/topics/returns-ship-to-guides).

## Who each storefront is for

[Uniqlo](/s/uniqlo) is for shoppers whose first picture is a basic apparel piece on that host. On 30 October 2026 a request to the US English homepage returned an access-denied page. The body we saved did not print a sale tile, a shipping threshold, a returns window, a gift door, or a Black Friday headline. This note does not turn that denial into a full-price story and does not turn it into a hidden sitewide. A denied read is a blank row. You fill the row on the country site you will check out from, in the size and color you will pay for. If a later visit shows a headline, copy it. If the header is still denied, leave the row blank. Do not paste a MUJI shelf percent onto a Uniqlo cart. Do not invent a percent from silence. This note does not have a code.

[MUJI](/s/muji) is for shoppers whose first picture is a basic home, apparel, or stationery piece on the US host. On 30 October 2026 the public title pointed at home goods, apparel, and stationery. This note does not copy a store-claim phrase out of the raw description, and it does not turn the wording into a rank against Uniqlo. A newsletter line said 10% off a first order when you sign up. That is a signup sentence. It is not a code, and it is not a percent on an order you place without joining. The page also exposed named shelf lines: select apparel 50% off, blankets 15% off, select cushions 15% off, a last-chance line up to 50% off, organizers 30% off, and a seating piece 20% off. Each is a shelf label, not a rate this note pastes onto a pen or a shirt the shelf did not name. An online-exclusive line said free shipping on body-fit cushions. That is one product family. It is not a free-shipping rule for the catalog. A visible sentence said shipping times were delayed because of a high volume of orders. That is a delay notice to re-read. It is not a count of days, and it is not a stocking plan. The page exposed a Sale door, gift wrap, gift cards, a holiday-prep door, a return policy, a shipping policy, and a loyalty policy. A separate host, muji.com/us, was denied in this read. Use [muji.us](https://www.muji.us/) for the lines above. Our read did not surface a clear Black Friday homepage headline. A holiday-prep door can be real and still be seasonal merchandising.

## What we could see on 30 October 2026

We opened each homepage. Uniqlo US did not get past a denial. MUJI US exposed the shelf and nav text below. We did not turn silence into a percent, and we did not copy a code. A later banner replaces this snapshot.

| What to look at | Uniqlo US, homepage 30 Oct 2026 | MUJI US, homepage 30 Oct 2026 |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Public title | Not readable. The request was denied | Home goods, apparel, and stationery |
| Black Friday signal | No headline we could quote, because merchandising did not load | No clear homepage Black Friday headline in our read |
| How to read that signal | Re-open the live country page the day you buy. Do not borrow a MUJI line | Re-check the named shelf and the SKU you will pay for |
| Shipping phrase we could point at | None in this read. Leave the cell blank | Free shipping named on body-fit cushions only; a separate delay notice on shipping times |
| Care path | None in this read | Return policy and shipping policy doors; loyalty policy in the same cluster |
| Shelf type, not a pasted percent | None in this read | Signup line at 10% on a first order; select apparel, blankets, cushions, organizers, and a last-chance line, each with its own label |
| Money path in the nav | None in this read | Sale, gift wrap, gift cards, holiday prep |
| What we are not quoting | A code, a threshold, or a holiday headline we did not see | A code, or any one shelf percent as the price of every SKU |

Read the table as a checklist, not as a score. A denied homepage can be a temporary wall and still sit next to a product page you have not opened. A shelf percent can be real and still fail to touch the color in your hand.

## How to verify both sites in this Black Friday window

Use the same pass on both domains. The window is whenever you are deciding whether to wait or to buy. It is not a reconstructed timeline of earlier Novembers.

1. Open the live homepage on the country site you will actually check out from. Our MUJI notes follow muji.us. A different country menu can rename the shelf and the currency. Uniqlo must be opened fresh. If the denial is still up, write “denied” and try the product URL you already trust, without inventing the missing header.
2. On Uniqlo, look for a Black Friday or Cyber Monday headline only after the page renders. If it is absent, leave that row blank. Open one basic you would actually buy, in the size and color you need.
3. On MUJI, look again for a Black Friday headline. If it is still absent, leave that row blank. Re-read the shelf that names your category. A blanket line does not price a shirt.
4. Ask whether any banner covers the catalog or names one family. If it names select apparel, stay inside that selection until the cart proves otherwise. If it names a signup percent, check whether the cart applied it. A signup form is not a code box.
5. Open shipping with your address on each site separately. The blank Uniqlo cell and the MUJI cushion line can diverge after you switch country or method. Read the delay notice again. Do not turn it into a number of transit days. This note does not promise a carrier date.
6. Open returns before you pay. On MUJI, read the return policy beside the shipping policy, not instead of the product page. On Uniqlo, read whatever returns door the live page shows. A gift-wrap door is not a return window.
7. If you will buy a gift, open gift wrap or gift cards on MUJI and check the contents on that page. On Uniqlo, open the gift path only if the live page prints one. A nav label is not a bundle list. The two carts do not share a balance.

[Uniqlo](/s/uniqlo) and [MUJI](https://www.muji.us/) are the places to confirm those lines. The Uniqlo host we tried did not render, so the confirmation has to happen on a page you can see. StoreAtlas can point you at the [Uniqlo store page](/s/uniqlo) and the [MUJI store page](/s/muji). It cannot freeze a fee or a percent.

## Positioning, without a winner

The public storefronts already split the job, even when one read is a denial. Uniqlo, in this snapshot, gave us no homepage sale line, no shipping threshold, and no returns sentence, because the US English page did not render merchandising. That is a reason to re-check live the day you buy. It is not a verdict. MUJI leads with home, apparel, and stationery, a first-order signup line, several named shelf percents, a cushion shipping line, a delay notice, return and shipping policy doors, gift wrap, and no clear Black Friday homepage headline in this read. If the cart is a Uniqlo basic, start on Uniqlo and only cross for a product you already want. If the cart is a MUJI piece, start on MUJI and only cross for a product you already chose.

Skip Uniqlo for this window if you will not open the live page and the size, or if you are hunting a code this snapshot does not have. Skip MUJI if you will not open the named shelf and the shipping notice, or if you need a Black Friday headline this snapshot did not show, or if you will paste 50% onto a pen the apparel shelf did not name.

Price checks stay on the product page. We are not listing dollar prices for individual products. A tile can change between this snapshot and checkout. We are not declaring a better basics brand. We are not telling a seller how many units to hold.

## A short way to choose

1. A Uniqlo basic, with a homepage this read could not quote: start at [Uniqlo](/s/uniqlo) and confirm the size on the live host. Leave every banner row blank until the page prints it.
2. A MUJI apparel, home, or stationery piece, with a named shelf and a shipping notice to re-read: start at [MUJI](/s/muji) and confirm the cart on [muji.us](https://www.muji.us/).
3. Still comparing the brands outside this window: read [Uniqlo vs MUJI](/blog/uniqlo-vs-muji), then come back to the live cart.

When you are ready to order, use the brand site. When you want the directory context, use the store pages linked above.
