About StoreAtlas: Our Method

StoreAtlas helps readers make more informed decisions about stores, products, and shopping topics. We publish concise store facts, practical guides, and topic pages based on information that readers can inspect and verify. Our pages are intended to support research—not to guarantee a price, promotion, inventory level, delivery time, return outcome, or product’s suitability for every person.

Our editorial principles

Accuracy before speed. We aim to use the most relevant and authoritative information available, prioritizing a store’s own official pages, policies, and support materials for store-specific claims. We use secondary sources when they add useful context, and we identify the difference.

Facts are not opinions. We distinguish verified facts from interpretation, recommendations, and editorial guidance. A description of a policy is not a promise that a customer will receive a particular outcome. When information varies by location, membership, product, order, or time, we say so.

Clarity and usefulness. We write for readers who need an answer quickly. We explain important terms, surface material caveats, and avoid making a page look more certain than its evidence supports. We do not invent prices, scores, availability, policies, or other details that we cannot substantiate.

Independence. Inclusion, visibility, and editorial wording are not sold. Commercial relationships do not determine whether a store is included, how a fact is described, or how stores are ordered in an editorial comparison. Where a page has a commercial purpose, we label it clearly.

Maintenance matters. Store information changes. Each verified fact should carry a verification date, and pages may include a policy caveat where a rule is conditional or likely to change. We revisit information when we learn of a material change and when our review process calls for it.

How we verify information

We begin by defining the claim precisely—for example, whether a store has an official online checkout, publishes a return policy, or operates through a particular channel. We then check the store’s official domain and the most relevant first-party page, such as its shipping, returns, privacy, terms, contact, or help page. We record the source and the date checked.

A fact is marked as verified only when the available evidence supports the wording we publish. If the evidence is incomplete, conditional, region-specific, or contradictory, we narrow the wording and show a caveat rather than presenting a broad conclusion. We do not treat a search snippet, user comment, or third-party listing as equivalent to a current official policy. These sources can help us find leads, but important store facts require appropriate corroboration.

Verification is a snapshot, not a permanent warranty. Policies, prices, inventory, domains, and eligibility can change after a page is checked. Please confirm important details on the store’s own website before buying or relying on a policy. The verification date shown on a page tells you when we last checked the relevant information; it does not mean the store guarantees that information today.

Affiliate and sponsor disclosure

Some links on StoreAtlas may be affiliate links. If you use one, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Sponsored content, paid placements, or other commercial arrangements will be identified as such. These relationships do not change the facts we report, the caveats we include, or our obligation to correct errors. A link’s presence is not an endorsement, and readers should review the store’s own terms before completing a purchase.

A commission does not change reported facts, caveats, or who should not buy. Disclosure sits next to the Visit link, not only in the footer. The full statement is on the Affiliate disclosure page, including the Amazon Associates sentence where an Amazon link is on the page.

Corrections and contact

If you find an error, outdated policy, broken official link, or unclear statement, please contact us with the page URL, the exact claim, the relevant source, and—where possible—the corrected wording. We review reports against the available evidence. Depending on the issue, we may correct the text, add a caveat, update the verification date, replace a source, or explain why the existing wording remains appropriate. Material corrections should be reflected clearly rather than silently obscured.

StoreAtlas is committed to being useful, transparent, and open to correction. Thank you for helping us keep the site accurate.

Corrections go to the editors inbox. Listing rules also live on About. Buyer-journey notes start at Before you buy. editors@storeatlas.cc. About. Before you buy.

Store files that carry a verification date show a facts block on the directory. That block is evidence, not a ranking. Directory.
