A payment sheet beside a store card, with merchant name, return path, and landed total marked for a buyer check

Public list pages have been talking about shopping agents that can jump a buyer from a chat into a merchant checkout before Black Friday. Read that as a buyer prompt. An agent jump is a handoff, not a guarantee that the store, the return path, or the price is the one you meant. StoreAtlas stays on the shopping side: open the merchant in the store directory, read the store card, and compare the name, the return path, and the landed total on the payment sheet before you pay.

This note does not invent a coupon percentage, a sticker price, a winner, or a count of transit days. A figure a chat quoted is not the figure on your line. If the review step prints a total, that total is yours. If it does not, the total is unknown. This note does not tell a seller how to plug a catalog into an agent, how to enroll in an agentic checkout, or how to stock a warehouse.

Neighbor reading stays practical. The returns and ship-to guides cover delivery questions after an order exists. The blog holds other buyer notes. A store card on /s is where you match a merchant name before a seasonal price in deals looks settled. None of these pages approve the jump an agent just made.

A jump is not the store

Shoppers hear "the agent checked out for me" and stop reading the payment sheet. The page you land on can be a different company from the name the chat used.

- The chat can name a brand. The payment sheet can name a marketplace seller, a regional shop, or a company you have not seen. - The button can say the goods are ready. The sheet can still hide who takes the money until the last confirm. - A second hop can happen after the first hop. The first merchant name is not the name on the card charge. - A saved address inside the agent can travel with the jump. The return desk may not travel with it.

Write the name on the payment sheet before you treat the order as the store you asked for. A help sentence about agentic checkout is not the merchant on your order. If the sheet is silent on the name, mark the merchant as unknown. Do not fill the silence with the chat.

A calm chat and a calm sheet can both exist, or only one can exist, or neither can. Read the sheet. A page that says an agent can buy does not, by itself, name the company you are about to pay.

Match the store card before the price

List pages have mentioned agents that carry a basket into a merchant. That mention is a reason to look before Black Friday. It is not a discount you can paste onto a gift.

On the review step, read:

1. Merchant name, letter by letter, next to the store card on /s. If the card names one company and the sheet names another, do not average them. 2. Who takes payment: the merchant, a marketplace, or a name that appears only on the last sheet. If the name is missing until you confirm, do not confirm. 3. The return path for this ship-from country. An agent can land you on a price and leave the return entry on a different site. Read the return entry before you call the order calm. 4. Merchandise, postage, tax, and handling as separate lines. A chat price with postage left off is not a landed total. 5. Ship-to country. A jump that reused a saved address can point at a country you did not mean for this gift.

Do not convert a chat figure into your currency and call the result your price. Do not stack a coupon assumption on top. If the review step does not show a markdown, the markdown is not yours.

Open the store directory when you want a merchant that already states a ship-from note and a return note. Compare that path with the sheet the agent opened. They are different pages. A calmer return on the store card can be the better Black Friday order even when the agent shows a lower sticker you have not added up.

The agent does not carry the return desk

A return path is a set of facts on the order, not a mood in the chat.

- Who may start the return: you, a gift recipient, or only the account that paid. - Which country the return address sits in, and whether you can hand the parcel to a carrier there. - Whether a label is included or the cost sits on you. If the page is silent, the label cost is unknown. - Whether the window is printed on this order. If the page prints a window, that window belongs to the page. Do not import a number from a headline or a chat.

The returns and ship-to guides are for after an order exists. They do not replace the return entry on the sheet you are about to accept. If the agent skipped that entry, go back and open it, or leave the page.

A store card can say where returns are described. That sentence is a pointer. Open the merchant page the card points at and read the same three facts: who starts the return, which country, and whether a label is included. If you cannot point at those facts, the return path is unknown.

Price is the landed total, not the chat

Black Friday badges sit on merchandise. Agents repeat the badge. The landed total is still the review step.

Split the basket into one row per merchant before you admire a combined total.

- Two merchants can sit behind one chat. One row can match a store card and the other can be a name you have not opened. - A quantity change can drop a postage waiver. Re-read postage after you change quantity. Do not reuse the earlier total the agent spoke. - Currency on the merchandise can differ from currency on the postage. Read both codes. - A threshold that waives postage counts only after the review step says so.

Use deals only for offers you can open and read. A badge in a roundup is not an offer. A price spoken in a chat is not the review step. Prefer the checkout whose merchandise, postage, and tax you can point to.

Shoppers in Japan, Korea, France, Spain, Portugal, and elsewhere use the same method. The agent may speak your language. The payment sheet may use another. Believe the sheet you will accept, not a translation the chat offered.

What not to copy from a roundup

- Do not copy a chat price onto your line. Read the review step. - Do not treat an agent jump as proof the merchant is the brand you named. - Do not assume every store an agent can open joined the same return desk. - Do not invent a coupon rate, a sticker price, or a count of transit days. - Do not ask a seller how to connect a catalog to an agent. The buyer task is to read the merchant, the return path, and the total on the order you pay.

A method you can repeat

1. Name the task you gave the agent, in your own words. Keep that sentence short: brand, goods, ship-to country. 2. When the agent opens a page, stop. Read the merchant name on the payment sheet. Open the same name on /s or in the store directory. 3. If the names differ, stop. Do not confirm while you "recognize" the brand. 4. Copy merchandise, postage, and any tax or handling. If a line is missing, write "unknown." 5. Read the return path on this order. If you cannot point at who starts it and which country it uses, do not confirm. 6. Compare one offer you can see in deals. Prefer the checkout whose name, return path, and landed total you can point to. 7. Save the review screen that shows the total you accepted, including the merchant name.

If the page will not show the merchant or the postage before you confirm, do not confirm. Leaving the page is a complete outcome. You can still shop from the store card without the agent.

After you pay

Save the payment sheet. If the agent split the basket, you may have more than one order number and more than one merchant. Track them separately. A delay on one merchant is not a fact about the other.

Check the order page again before you assume the price you heard is the price you were charged. Sale weeks replace totals. The screen you saved is the screen you can point to later. If support quotes a different merchant or a different total, answer with that screen.

If you send goods back, follow that merchant's return path and keep proof of dispatch. Do not send the parcel to a return address you found in the chat, or on a different store card. This note does not cover how a catalog is connected to an agent. The buyer task is to know which merchant you paid, which total you accepted, and which return path belongs to that payment.

Questions

Does an agent jump mean the merchant is the brand I named?
No. Read the merchant name on the payment sheet and match it to the store card. If the names differ, do not confirm.
What if the chat quoted a price?
A chat price is not the landed total. Read merchandise, postage, tax, and handling on the review step. If a line is missing, treat it as unknown.
Does the agent carry the return path?
No. Read who can start the return, which country it uses, and whether a label is included. If you cannot point at those facts, leave the page.
Should I compare the opened page with a store card?
Yes. Use the store directory and deals only for a merchant name, a return path, and a total you can open and point to.
What if the merchant name appears only after I confirm?
Do not confirm. Leaving the page is a complete outcome. You can shop from the store card without the agent.
