Buffy vs Brooklinen is a comforter-system decision set against a sheet-bundle decision. Buffy on buffy.co sells a Cloud comforter in two weights, with a TENCEL lyocell shell, and a returns page that says 50 nights with a prepaid label. Brooklinen on brooklinen.com sells Classic percale and Luxe sateen cores, Hardcore and Move-In bundles, and a 365-day return with a $9.95 fee. Choose Buffy when the object is the comforter, the shell is lyocell, and you will read the trial terms against the longer returns page. Choose Brooklinen when the object is a sheet set or a bundle with a duvet cover, and you want a year to send bedding back. StoreAtlas files both as stores on the home hub and the bedding tag. This note is not a Best of ranking.
Both brands also sit on the bedding you can compare job. Other shopping tasks already filed live on the jobs index. Both brands also live as files in the store directory.
Brooklinen vs Parachute is the live compare if the other sheet brand is already open. This note stays on Buffy’s comforter against Brooklinen’s cores and bundles. Use home storefront notes, Brooklinen bedding alternatives, and the Brooklinen sheets and bundles note.
Brooklinen vs Buffy · The comforter and the sheet cores
Buffy’s Cloud comforter PDP sells two weights in the same size ladder. Twin/Twin XL is 90 by 70 inches. Full/Queen is 90 by 90. King/Cal King is 90 by 105. All Season copy: 700 fill-power equivalent, 300 GSM fill weight, a 300-thread-count sateen lyocell shell, 100% GRS-certified BPA-free recycled PET fill, hypoallergenic, machine washable, corner loops for duvet ties, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I. Care is machine wash cold, dry low or air fluff. The page listed $199 and showed $159.20 while a first-order 20% offer was up. Winter Weight listed $249 and showed $199.20 under that offer. Its block repeats the 300-thread-count sateen lyocell shell, then differs: proprietary side vents on four walls, baffle-box construction, “cloud-like polyester fill.” That winter block does not say GRS or recycled, and it does not print GSM or fill power. Care on the winter block is dry clean only. It still carries the OEKO-TEX Class I sentence. The homepage calls Class I the strictest OEKO-TEX textile class. All Season is the washable recycled-fill comforter. Winter Weight is the dry-clean polyester-fill comforter with vents. They share a shell description and not a care label.
Breeze sheets are 100% TENCEL lyocell from eucalyptus. No thread count or GSM is on that PDP. The set is a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases unless noted, with elastic corner anchors. Queen fitted is 60 by 80 by 15 inches. King fitted is 78 by 80 by 15, cases 20 by 36. Cal King fitted is 72 by 84 by 15. Twin fitted is 12 inches deep. The page lists OEKO-TEX Class I. The set listed at $219 and showed $175.20 during the first-order offer. Pocket depth is on the size, not on the brand.
Brooklinen’s about-sheets cards do not always match the PDP. Luxe sateen on the PDP is 100% long-staple cotton, a 4-over-1 weave, 495 thread count, made in Portugal. The about card still prints 480. GSM is not on the Luxe PDP. Use 495 from the product page. Classic percale is 100% long-staple cotton, one-over-one, 270 thread count, OEKO-TEX, aimed at hot sleepers. Washed Classic is the same 270, garment-washed, made in India. Washed European linen is 100% European flax, European Flax certified, OEKO-TEX, with no thread count on the PDP. The card puts 155 GSM in a thread-count slot. Heathered cashmere is 95% cotton and 5% Himalayan cashmere. The card says 125 GSM. The PDP did not. Brushed flannel is 100% cotton, 140 GSM, woven in Portugal.
A core set is one flat, one fitted, and two pillowcases. Twin and Twin XL include one case. Sizes run Twin through Cali King. Inches were not on these PDPs. Product data around a sitewide offer showed Classic Queen at $199 and Luxe Queen at $209. Hardcore, in Classic or Luxe, adds a duvet cover and uses four pillowcases, one on Twin sizes. Move-In adds a comforter, two pillows, and a laundry detergent. Buffy sells the comforter and a lyocell set. Brooklinen sells the core, then a bundle that can include the insert.
Down and down-alternative comforters are Brooklinen’s insert, if the comparison is comforter to comforter. The about-comforters page describes premium Canadian duck down and down-feather fibers, DOWNMARK certified, a long-staple cotton sateen shell, baffle box, extra ties, slightly oversized, made in Canada, OEKO-TEX Standard 100. The weight guide on that page: Lightweight 75% down and 25% down feather, 600 fill power. All-Season 80/20, 700 fill power. Heavyweight 85/15, 750 fill power. Sizes are Twin/Twin XL, Full/Queen, and King/Cali King, each in those three weights. No inch dimensions were on the page. Down alternative is where the PDP conflicts with itself. Lead copy says hypoallergenic recycled poly microgel, fully biodegradable, GRS certified. The material line on the same PDP still says Canadian duck down and down-feather fibers. Do not treat that material line as the fill. No fill-power number was on the down-alternative PDP. Care copy says machine wash cold, commercial washer and dryer only, for down and down alternative.
The shared “700” is fill power on different fills: Buffy’s recycled PET, Brooklinen’s 80/20 duck down.
Trials, fees, and warranties that disagree with each other
Buffy’s live return page says every customer gets a 50-night risk-free return. The window starts the day the order is delivered. Return shipping is on Buffy, via a prepaid label. Email the address on that page. Refunds process 3–5 business days after the warehouse has the goods. Card posting can take up to a month. The Cloud and Breeze PDPs also describe a 7-night at-home trial: a card hold at checkout, and the charge completes when the trial ends 7 nights later, then the 50-night return still applies. The trial does not apply to final sale or to orders placed with Shop Pay, Apple Pay, or PayPal. Those PDPs say free shipping and free 50-night returns, with no dollar minimum on the pages opened. The terms of service disagree. They describe a seven-night trial, then say to initiate a return within 30 nights, limit the free trial to US customers, and give Canada a 30-day return with the customer paying return shipping. An unreturned trial item can be charged full retail plus tax and shipping where applicable. The terms also state a limited lifetime warranty: repair, replace, or refund what you paid, at Buffy’s discretion, excluding alterations, abuse, stains, tears, and odors. Some other PDPs still say a three-year warranty or protection plan. The Cloud details block opened did not repeat either the lifetime line or the three-year line. Read the return page, the PDP trial box, and the terms on the same day. A 50-night prepaid label and a 30-night terms clock are both on the site.
Brooklinen’s banner is free shipping on orders of $100 and up, ground, to the contiguous United States. Other methods show at checkout. The contact page says they ship internationally, including the UK, Canada, the EU countries named there, Australia, Japan, and others, with possible duties, and that original shipping is not refunded on international returns. The return is the trial. About-sheets calls it a 365-day happiness guarantee. The contact page says 365 days from purchase, from the site or retail stores. There are no exchanges. You return and reorder. US and Canada must use a Brooklinen label. All returns are subject to a $9.95 fee deducted from the refund. The fee is waived in store, and it may be waived for damaged, defective, or incorrect items. Outside the US and Canada the $9.95 is not withheld, but you need instructions first, and you still do not get original shipping back. Final sale, including Last Call, does not return. Refunds take 5–7 business days after receipt, to the original payment, or to store credit if that method is gone.
The warranty is shorter than the return. Contact copy gives one year on all products and a second year on core products: sheets and pillow protectors, towels and robes, and down and down-alternative pillows and comforters plus mattress toppers. After two years they say they cannot replace or refund. A quality claim needs the order number and photos, for a manufacturing flaw, on a Brooklinen.com or retail purchase. Buffy’s terms say lifetime, with heavy exclusions, and the Cloud PDP does not repeat it. Brooklinen’s bedding return is a year, with a $9.95 label fee in the US and Canada, and the quality warranty is one year plus one on cores.
