Kyte Baby vs Little Sleepies: bamboo sleep bags, TOGs, and zip pajamas

Kyte Baby vs Little Sleepies is a sleepwear decision with two different safety fits. Kyte Baby sells rayon-from-bamboo sleep bags sized by weight and height, in three TOG weights, on kytebaby.com. Little Sleepies sells viscose-from-bamboo Zippy pajamas meant to stretch through a size, plus Sleepy Bag wearable blankets with their own TOG and age chart, on littlesleepies.com. Choose Kyte when the garment is a wearable blanket and the neck and armholes have to fit this month. Choose Little Sleepies when the garment is a footed sleeper you want to wear for longer than a typical pajama size, and you will still follow the snug-fit line on the page. StoreAtlas files both as stores on the kids hub and the baby tag. This note is not a Best of ranking.
Neither brand replaces safe-sleep guidance from your pediatric clinician. Both pages print fit rules because a loose sack at the neck is a hazard, and a pajama that is not snug has its own label. Read those rules on the PDP. The storefront habits around them are the product-page guide, returns before you buy, shipping and returns language, and how to check a store ships to your country. International orders are where these two policies diverge the most.
There is no shopping-job page for this pair yet — other shopping tasks already filed live on the jobs index. Both brands also live as files in the store directory.
Who each storefront fits
Kyte fits the household buying a sleep sack as the main object. The sleep bag is an exterior of 97% rayon made from bamboo and 3% spandex, which the terms page states as the brand’s fabric. Product pages put 0.5 TOG at 74–78°F, 1.0 TOG at 69–73°F, and 2.5 TOG at 61–68°F. The bag is a wearable blanket with a J-shaped double zipper and a zipper garage. The 0.5, without quilting, runs bigger and stretchier. Use the fit guide rather than a looser size.
Kyte’s size chart is weight and length, not age. The brand has said it used to sell 0–6, 6–18, and 18–36 month bags and moved to body measurements because age was a poor predictor. Current guidance lists X-Small at 7–13 pounds and 20–25 inches, Small at 14–20 pounds and 22–27 inches, Medium at 18–30 pounds and 26–33 inches, Large at 28–42 pounds and 33–40 inches, and X-Large at 38–50 pounds and 37–47 inches. Ranges overlap. The fit rule is the neck and the arms: the fabric should not ride up over the airway, and the baby should not be able to slip down into the bag. Extra length at the feet is intentional, for kicking and hip room. Size up is the wrong move when the top is already loose. Footed pajamas are a separate Kyte garment, sold in age sizes such as preemie, newborn, and month bands, in the same bamboo-rayon family. Do not use a footie size chart to buy the sack.
Little Sleepies fits the household buying the Zippy first. The Willow Ribbed Zippy page lists 95% viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex, sold as Lunaluxe bamboo. That page lists fold-over mittens, convertible feet, a two-way zipper, and no snaps or interior tags. The brand says it fits up to three times longer and to stay true to size. The safety line says snug fit, not flame resistant, and no flame-retardant treatment. Care is machine wash cold and tumble dry low.
The Zippy chart runs from micro preemie (up to 15 inches and 3 pounds) through newborn (18–21 inches, 5–8 pounds), 0–3 months (21–23 inches, 8–12 pounds), 6–12 months (27–31 inches, 17–23 pounds), and 3T (36–39 inches, 31–35 pounds), with rows in between on the size guide. The Willow page puts fold-over mittens on all sizes. Another print limits mittens to 12–18 months. Read the bullet on the print in the cart.
The Sleepy Bag is Little Sleepies’ wearable blanket, and it is not the Zippy. The heather-gray Sleepy Bag page gives three TOGs: lightweight 0.5 for nursery temperatures 74–78°F, seasonless 1.5 for 68–74°F, and winter-weight 2.5 for 61–67°F. The 0.5 shell and lining are 95% viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex. The 1.5 and 2.5 add an interior quilted fill of 100% polyester. Features include adjustable under-arm snaps, a double zipper, a zipper cover, and encased seams. The page says not to size up, and to confirm the arm and neck fit before use. A fit article lists Sleepy Bag sizes as 0–6 months at 8–17 pounds and 21–27 inches, 6–18 months at 17–26 pounds and 27–32 inches, and 18–36 months at 26–35 pounds and 32–39 inches. Lunaluxe is the night fabric. Soluxe is the play fabric, with UPF 25 on that blend. Family pajama charts are on the size guide. They do not change the sleep-bag TOG.
TOG, fit, and why the charts are not interchangeable
Match TOG to the room. A 70°F nursery is Kyte’s 1.0 band (69–73°F) and Little Sleepies’ 1.5 band (68–74°F). A 65°F room is 2.5 on both, with Kyte’s band running to 68°F and Little Sleepies’ to 67°F. There is no Kyte 1.5 and no Little Sleepies 1.0 on these pages. Kyte’s warm-room notes put a diaper or a short-sleeve onesie under a 0.5. Little Sleepies prints the nursery range on the Sleepy Bag page.
Kyte sizes the sack by weight and height and wants the neck and arms snug now, with extra length at the feet. A 19-pound baby can math into Small or Medium. The neck check breaks the tie. Little Sleepies tells Zippy buyers to stay on the current height and weight row, and Sleepy Bag buyers not to size up. Kyte’s cloth is 97% rayon from bamboo and 3% spandex. Little Sleepies shells are 95% viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex, and the 1.5 and 2.5 Sleepy Bags add polyester fill. Kyte’s 2.5 page describes a warmer version of the same rayon-spandex cloth. Read the fill line if you are avoiding polyester. Kyte’s zipper is a J-shaped double zipper with a garage. Little Sleepies uses a two-way zipper on the Zippy and a covered double zipper on the Sleepy Bag.
Shipping, returns, and the fees inside “free”
Kyte’s terms offer free shipping on US orders over $85, Canada over $135 USD, and worldwide over $200 USD. Under those marks, the flat rates listed are $7.50 for US orders under $85 and $15 for Canadian orders under $135. Duties and taxes on Canadian and overseas orders can be billed to the recipient. The terms also flag a temporary higher shipping rate on some international lanes. Read the checkout total. Returns on regular-priced items run 45 days from the delivered date, unworn, unwashed, with tags and original packaging. A refund to the original payment method deducts a flat $8 processing fee. That fee is waived for store credit or a direct exchange through the portal. Final sale, called out on the return policy, includes underwear, clearance, and water bottles. International returns from outside the US and Canada are at the customer’s expense. Manufacturer defects are covered for 3 months from delivery for the original purchaser, with a photo to [email protected]. Wear, fade, and pilling are out.
Little Sleepies’ FAQ offers free standard shipping on US orders over $25, and orders typically ship in two to four business days. Returns are 30 days from the purchase date, for a refund or store credit. The item has to arrive unused, unworn, tagged, in original packaging and original condition. A restocking fee can apply if it does not. Free return labels are for store-credit returns. A refund to the original payment method deducts a $5.95 processing fee. Allow 12–15 business days after the warehouse receives the package. Final sale covers all international orders, underwear, pet accessories, sale items, Black Friday week purchases, and anything discounted more than 25%. International orders are final even when the US order would still be inside 30 days.
A Kyte sack under $85 picks up the $7.50 US rate. The Willow Zippy page lists $36, which clears Little Sleepies’ $25 line. Verify the store ships to you before you treat either threshold as duties-paid.
Questions
- Are Kyte and Little Sleepies the same bamboo fabric?
- Kyte’s bag is 97% rayon from bamboo and 3% spandex. Little Sleepies’ shell is 95% viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex, and the 1.5 and 2.5 TOG bags add polyester fill. The middle TOG is 1.0 at Kyte and 1.5 at Little Sleepies.
- Can I size up so the pajamas last longer?
- Stay on the Zippy’s current height and weight row. The page says the stretch is already built in and the garment should fit snugly. On either sleep bag, do not loosen the neck and arms to buy length. Kyte’s bands overlap. The neck check decides the size.
- What does a return cost if the size is wrong?
- Kyte accepts unworn, tagged returns for 45 days from delivery. Card refunds deduct $8. Store credit and direct exchanges waive that fee. Underwear, clearance, and water bottles are final sale, and returns from outside the US and Canada are on you. Little Sleepies accepts unworn, tagged returns for 30 days from purchase. Card refunds deduct $5.95. Store-credit returns can use a free label. International orders, deep discounts, sale items, and Black Friday week are final sale. Either way, a washed or worn sleeper is outside the published window. Returns before you buy is the checklist for the fee and the clock.
