Half-cup bras and leakproof underwear from official fashion storefronts

ThirdLove vs Knix is a bra-fit decision set against a leakproof-underwear decision. ThirdLove on thirdlove.com sells 24/7 bras in half-cup sizes and asks you to try the bra on with the tags still attached. Knix on knix.com sells leakproof underwear you can wash and wear, then treats a first pair differently from every pair after it. Choose ThirdLove when the missing size is a half cup between a B and a C, or a band-and-cup combo standard bras skip. Choose Knix when the product has to absorb on a measured scale, from a few tampons’ worth to an ultra gusset, and you understand that a second pair may come back only as an exchange or store credit. StoreAtlas files both as stores on the fashion hub and the apparel tag. This note is not a Best of ranking.

There is no shopping-job page for this pair yet — other shopping tasks already filed live on the jobs index. Both brands also live as files in the store directory.

Knix vs SKIMS is the live compare if the other cart is a soft sculpting brief. This note stays on half-cup bras against leakproof underwear. Use fashion storefront notes, size charts before you buy, and returns before you buy. The wear rule is the part that makes one of these returnable and the other a credit.

Half cups, precise sizing, and absorbency

ThirdLove’s homepage says it fits AA through H, and that one in four women wear a half-cup size. The 24/7 Classic T-Shirt Bra is the half-cup object. Product data lists it at $74. The description calls it the first bra made in half-cup sizes, with memory-foam cups, a no-show double-layer back, adjustable straps, true-to-size fit, and moderate demi coverage. Fiber is 76% nylon and 24% spandex. Care is machine wash cold, lay flat, lingerie bag. Half cups show up in the size list as a ½ step: 32B, 32B½, 32C, 32C½, and on through bands that run into the 40s and cups up to H. Not every band has every cup. The Fit Quiz and an underbust-and-bust calculator sit on the PDP. That is the path. A letter size from another brand is not the path.

The 24/7 Classic Wireless Bra is a different size system. It lists at $68, with built-in foam, moderate coverage, and the same 76% nylon and 24% spandex. Precise Sizing is not a band and cup. The brand groups it as XS–3X for up to a C½, XS+–XL+ for D through E½, and XS++–XL++ for F–G. Options run XS, SM, MD, LG, XL, 1X, 2X, 3X, plus the + and ++ steps through XL++. The 24/7 Classic Uplift Plunge lists at $74: removable pads, ultra-thin foam, less coverage, a flexible underwire, and half cups, in 76% nylon and 24% spandex. One care line says hand wash cold and allows a machine only in a garment bag. Read the care line on the style. The T-shirt bra and the plunge do not share it. If the page says final sale, the try-on does not end in a return.

Knix measures gussets in tampons and teaspoons, not in cup letters. The Super Leakproof Dream Short lists at $42 in product data. The page describes a boxer-short, high-rise cut with an extra-long liner and LeakSeal, and it rates absorbency at about 5.5 super tampons, labeled Heavy. Body fiber on that style is 70% nylon and 30% spandex, with a gusset stack that includes modal, Supima cotton, and polyester layers. Sizes run XS–XXXXL. The SuperPlus Leakproof No-Show High Rise lists at $39 and is labeled Ultra, about 7–11 super tampons, in the same 70/30 nylon-spandex body. The Leakproof UltraThin No-Show Bikini lists at $27, mid-rise, moderate coverage, about 2.5 super tampons or about one regular pad. Its body is 77% nylon and 23% LYCRA XTRA LIFE spandex. An UltraThin guide on that PDP puts the wider scale in teaspoons: Light about 1–3 teaspoons, Moderate about 4–8, Heavy about 8–14, Ultra about 15–20. No milliliter number was printed on these pages. XS–XXXXL is the shared size run, marked true to size. A numeric waist and hip chart did not render on the pages opened, so use the how-to-measure copy on the PDP rather than a remembered number.

A ThirdLove order is a band, a cup, and sometimes a half step, in nylon-spandex foam. A Knix order is an absorbency band and a rise, in nylon-spandex with a built gusset. They solve different failures. A half cup does not replace a leakproof gusset, and a Dream Short does not replace a T-shirt bra.

What you may wear before you send it back

ThirdLove’s returns center is explicit. Exchanges are free for 60 days on eligible orders. A $4.99 fee applies to returns, waived for Platinum Hooked Rewards members. Bras: try it on for fit, and leave the original tags attached. Underwear: unworn, tags on, in the unopened original polybag. Final sale is out. The bra policy is a supervised try-on. It is not a wash-and-wear trial. A cart module has shown “Add $100 for free shipping,” and a rewards line has advertised free shipping on $75 and up. Those are different thresholds. Read the cart for the order you are placing. A warranty sentence was not on the returns center or the T-shirt-bra PDP.

Knix splits first-timers from everyone else. New to leakproof: the first pair is risk-free for 30 days. Wear it, wash it, and if it is wrong, Knix refunds the item price and excludes original shipping. Exchanges are free through the contact address on that page. If you have bought leakproof before, you have 30 days from delivery to exchange for another size or style, or to take store credit. The page says they are unable to provide refunds on underwear. Multi-packs: open, wash, and wear one pair only. Essential non-leakproof underwear follows the exchange-or-credit rule, not the first-pair refund. Bras, including LuxeLift tanks and bodysuits, can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, and Knix tells you to remove tags and wash and wear them to find the fit. Apparel, sleep, and swim need tags. Swim bottoms and one-pieces need the sanitary strip. Thigh savers and shapewear, including leakproof versions, allow tags off and a wash. Sale items at 30% off or less are a size exchange or store credit. More than 30% off is final sale. Rewards-points purchases are a size exchange only. Knix covers return shipping for exchanges and refunds started in the portal, for the US and Canada. Retail stores take online returns. Shipping on the policy page: free standard over $100 USD after discounts and before shipping and tax, and $9.99 under that. Processing is 1–2 business days. The page says Knix does not ship to Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, or American Samoa. Canada is a separate knix.ca checkout. International shipping on that page is $25 under $150, 10–25 business days, duties on the customer, and no ship to EU and EFTA countries at the time of the page.

Returns before you buy is the difference between these two policies. ThirdLove will take a tagged bra back and charge $4.99 unless you are in the platinum tier, and it will not take underwear out of the polybag. Knix will let a first leakproof pair go through the wash and still refund the item, and it will not refund a later pair.

Questions

Half-cup bra vs leakproof short
The 24/7 Classic T-Shirt Bra is $74, 76% nylon and 24% spandex, memory foam, demi coverage, in half cups. The Dream Short is $42, 70% nylon and 30% spandex, high-rise, about 5.5 super tampons. Buy the bra when the fit failure is a cup between two standard sizes. Buy the short when the failure is absorbency. The wireless bra is the ThirdLove option when you do not want a band-and-cup size at all. SuperPlus, at about 7–11 super tampons, is the Knix option when Heavy is not enough.
Can you wash either one and still return it?
Knix’s first leakproof pair: yes, wash it inside 30 days and the item price can still be refunded. Later leakproof pairs: wash one, then exchange or take credit, not a refund. ThirdLove bras: try on, tags on, no wash-and-return language on the returns center. ThirdLove underwear: unopened polybag. A Knix bra is closer to the wash-and-wear rule than a ThirdLove bra is. Read the category on the Knix page, because swim, sale over 30% off, and points purchases do not follow the first-pair rule.
Which size system is harder to guess?
ThirdLove half cups are the more precise bra size and the easier one to miss if you only know whole cups. Wireless Precise Sizing uses +, ++, and extended sizes instead. Knix is XS–XXXXL and calls the underwear true to size, without a numeric chart on the pages opened. [Size charts before you buy](/blog/size-charts-dtc-before-you-buy) means measuring underbust and bust for ThirdLove, and using Knix’s own measure copy for a gusset. [Knix vs SKIMS](/blog/knix-vs-skims) is the next compare if the question turns from leakproof underwear to sculpting.
