A banner that says worldwide is not proof. Use the locale picker, the shipping table, and a checkout destination test without paying. Missing country means the object is not sold to you, even if the product photo looks universal. Open the official host, switch the locale to your destination, and see whether checkout still accepts your address. Then read that locale’s shipping table — not the US homepage banner. A language switch is not a ship-to switch. StoreAtlas will not invent a rate, a ship-to matrix, or a forwarder rank. This is a pre-cart check, not a Best of international stores list. Pair it with how to estimate landed cost and returns before you buy. Confirm the day you buy.

How do you use the locale picker as evidence?

Three steps, in order: switch the locale picker to your country; confirm checkout still accepts that address; read the shipping table on that locale. A homepage banner is not evidence.

Treat the picker as a claim about the catalog, not as decoration.

Most brand storefronts put a country or region control in the header or footer. Switch it to your destination and watch what changes: currency, SKU availability, and whether the cart still offers a ship-to field for your address. If the country is simply missing, stop. A coupon does not create a lane. A package forwarder is a different object — the brand did not promise that locker.

Language and shipping locale are separate on many Shopify themes. A site can be in English and still refuse your country. A site can be in your language and still be a US cart. Believe the country control and the address form, not the copy.

Open the official domain first. The official storefront versus lookalike note is that check. Ads and short links lie. Gymshark and Glossier files in this directory start from homepages we opened. Re-check the host every time you pay.

Allbirds notes in this directory already describe shipping as often international — and still send you to the official table. Away merchandises a warranty locale. July and Monos split regional luggage rooms. Brooklinen merchandises a set whose ship-to is part of the product. None of those files is a shipping guarantee.

What if your country is missing?

Then this host does not sell a direct lane to you.

Do not paste a US address to “see the price.” That price is a different product: a different tax line, a different return path, and often a cancelled order when the warehouse flags the card.

Honest alternatives are objects, not hacks:

PathWhat it isWhat it is not
Official locale that lists your countryA brand laneA screenshot from a friend abroad
Brand’s other regional host (.co.uk, .com.au)A different cart and often a different warrantyThe same SKU by default
A platform the brand actually sells onA demand channel with the operator’s rulesThe brand PDP as the contract
A package forwarder or purchasing agentA third party you hiredA brand promise, or the brand’s return window

Shopify storefront vs Amazon is the channel split. Same product: brand site vs Temu / AliExpress is the lookalike-SKU split. A mall may be the only legal path. That is logistics, not a quality win.

If your destination is China, the tax channel after the parcel ships is a second document. Use how to check whether a brand storefront ships to your locale and confirm figures on the official customs host the day you shop.

How do you confirm at checkout without paying?

Enter the address far enough for shipping to refresh. You do not submit the card.

A country that appears in the picker can still fail at the street field. Some merchants sell a “rest of world” tile that then excludes your postcode, your island, or your PO box. The refresh is the test.

Watch the total. If duty appears, you have a DDP-shaped line for this SKU. If the total stays tile-plus-shipping and the table was silent, treat door charges as possible. How to estimate landed cost is that read.

If checkout refuses the country after the picker offered it, believe checkout. Themes desync. The pay form is the live room.

Thrive Market states a club door as merchandising — guest and member catalogs differ, and so can ship-to. Casper makes freight the object. A mattress lane is not a tee lane. We will not invent a haul day.

What else changes when the locale changes?

The catalog, the window, and the warranty copy.

SKU tiles disappear. Sale prices rewrite. A kit on a .com homepage may be absent on the locale you can actually pay. Glossier is a kit room; confirm the set on the locale, not the campaign still.

Returns rewrite. A 30-day US window can become “we do not accept international returns” or a buyer-paid label. Read what to check on returns before you buy DTC on the same pass.

Warranty locale follows the storefront you paid. Away is the directory example. Do not assume a US warranty on an EU checkout, or the reverse.

What should you check before you trust a banner?

Reuse this list on the official host.

- Domain is the brand you meant. - Country picker includes your country — or it does not, and you stop. - Language switch did not fool you into a foreign cart. - Address refresh at checkout accepts the street and postcode. - Shipping table on this locale names a rate or a duty sentence. - Returns page on this locale names an international path, or honestly says no. - You did not invent a US locker to game the price.

Then open the official PDP for the SKU. Pair the homepage habit with how to evaluate a Shopify store and how to check shipping and returns. A dated findability sample lives on how often Shopify storefronts put shipping and returns where you can find them.

If you only needed to track a parcel that already exists, 17TRACK is a public paste. StoreAtlas embeds it on order tracking. A tracker does not create a ship-to lane.

What is the ship-to checklist?

Reuse this list on the official host.

- Open the brand’s official domain (not a marketplace tile). - Switch locale or currency to your destination if a picker exists. - Find the shipping destinations page or table. - Add the SKU to cart and enter the destination before paying. - If the country is rejected or missing, stop — the object is not sold to you here. - Re-read returns and duties for that locale (they often change).

Allbirds, Glossier, and Mejuri — the StoreAtlas slug is mejuri — still send you to the official table. Zonos and Global-e may power a duty line after the country is accepted; they do not create a lane. If the job is a sneaker or a skin kit, start on everyday sneakers or skin-first kits. More method notes live on the method hub and cross-border tools.

Questions

The homepage says worldwide shipping. Is that enough?
No. Confirm with locale picker plus checkout destination for your address.
My country is missing from the picker. Can I still order?
Not on that storefront. Missing destination means the SKU is not available to you there.
Does StoreAtlas list which countries each store ships to?
No live matrix. We teach the check; confirm on the official host the day you buy. We do not publish scores or a Best of list.
Does a language switch mean they ship to me?
No. Language and ship-to are different controls on many themes. Believe the country picker and the address form.
